Let's Rethink Coffee.
Coffee fruit bar is made from the fruit of coffee.
We believe that coffee is more than a beverage, and that the byproduct of coffee such as the pulp shouldn't be hard to obtain. That's why we aim to empower farmers through investing in byproducts.

Here is an illustration of the traditional coffee farming process (right- when coffee is left to rot) vs (left- our new, more sustainable approach). Our process upcycles this waste into an extract using a scientifically tested method (see laboratory). The health-boosting extract then makes its way straight into our kitchens in Brisbane (follow the white drums with clear label) and finally into our delicious health bars!Like our mission? Help The World
Considered to be a waste product, coffee fruit is usually left in piles to spoil where it produces undesirable compounds called mycotoxins. If left untreated, these piles eventually contaminate local river systems causing damage to local flora and fauna. Each Coffee Fruit Bar reduces coffee cherry waste loading on the planet by 10g.
Empower Coffee Farmers
Upcycling coffee fruit empowers our coffee farmers to earn additional income in one of the most volatile agri-food sectors in the world. Coffee Fruit Bar intentionally sources its coffee fruit from a small number micro-lot farms in Colombia. Our mission is to provide an additional revenue stream to the farmer along with a waste removal alternative.
Good for You
Considered a superfood due to its high concentration of Polyphenols (micronutrients found in plant foods), the coffee fruit extract is packed full of antioxidants and potential health benefits. Studies further show that coffee cherry produces BDNF (Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor), a protein essential for maintaining healthy cognition, and other brain-related processes such as mood and sleep.
Did you know that 91% of the coffee fruit is wasted to fill your cup of coffee?
As coffee is harvested for its seeds not its fruit, farmers will discard the fruit into piles which eventually rot, polluting local river systems and water ways.
This represents roughly 21 million tonnes of waste per year.
Alarmed at the amount of waste to fill one's cup, we got to work to disrupt the way we use coffee, producing Australia's first socially conscious health bar made from upcycled coffee fruit. Our Mission
